The XXIX International Congress “New Technologies for Diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecologic Diseases” with Endoscopic Course took place in the Research Center For Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on June 7-10, 2016.
The Organizers of the congress were: the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, The Federal State Budget Institution “The Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” of the Ministry of Health of the RF, the Russian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; the Society of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery; the Russian Association of Endometriosis (RAE), the Russian Association of Gynecologic Endoscopists; the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
The congress was headed by: President of the congress – Leila V. Adamyan, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Ministry of Health of Russia; Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Congress – Gennadiy T. Sukhich, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
Totally, 827 participants from 23 countries, 188 cities and 73 regions of Russia took part in the congress including leading specialists in gynecology from recognized Russian universities and clinic, as well as 25 invited experts came from Austria, Beligum, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Italy, Canada, Portugal, USA, France and Japan. The Congress opened with the plenary session “Endometriosis – one of the key problems in gynecology”.
3 scientific and educational sessions were held in the frames of the Congress, among them one was held together with the representatives of the European Endometriosis League and was dedicated to modern surgical approaches in endometriosis and associated hyperplastic uterine processes; 2 other sessions were on improvement of surgical techniques in uterine fibroids treatment and on innovations in oncogynecology.
Also there were held 4 seminars on the ways of optimization of the outcomes of gynecological surgery, interdisciplinary approaches to surgical treatment of gynecological patients; breast pathology in practice of a gynecologist; new technologies for solving of obstetrical problems; 3 round tables on oncology and reproductive health and fetal medicine and 6 training schools on: complications in endoscopic surgery; improvement of surgical techniques for treatment of endometriosis/adenomyosis; acute problems of pediatric and adolescent gynecology: hysteroscopy and intrauterine surgery; the school on modern possibilities of the robotic surgery in cooperation with Centers miVIP (USA) and the school for young scientists “How to write articles for peer-reviewed journals?”, which was attended by many residents and post-graduate students of the Center.
The invited foreign experts together with the surgeons of the Center carried out 5 master classes on endoscopic surgery in the format of live interactive transmission of operations. The procedures were performed for endometrial and cervical cancer, adenomiosis, prolapse, external endometriosis, ovarian tumours, myoma, intrauterine pathology.
There was held a training course on laparoscopy with lectures and stimulation hands-on training. The course was attended by more than 200 participants.
The students of the Moscow medical high schools – members of the Students’ scientific society on operative gynecology participated in the Contest of Young Scientists.
The Congress was on-line broadcasted through Internet.
