Post-release on the 10th Jubilee International Congress on Reproductive Medicine
On January 19-22, 2016, the 10th Jubilee Congress on Reproductive Medicine took place in the Federal State Budget Institution “The Research Centre for Obstetrics, GInecology and Perinatology” in Moscow. The Organizers of the event were the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology, the Russian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, the Russian Association of Endometriosis, the Russian Association of Gynecologic Endoscopists, the Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery of the Moscow State Medical Stomatological University.
The Congress Chairman, Director of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Ministry of Health of the RF, academician of the RAS, Professor Gennady Sukhikh opened the Congress. He thanked the participants and especially foreign experts, who in spite of global and national challenges could get together. This is the evidence of credit of respect to the Center and manifest of trusty professional and human relationships.
The Deputy Minister of Health of the RF, Professor Tatiana Yakovleva delivered a bright and compelling speech. She said that in difficult demographic processes which take place in Russia, i.e. ageing of population, reduction of number women of fertile age, reproductive health care becomes a strategic task of the social policy and, of course, of the Ministry of Health, who highly appreciates the significance of the congresses on reproductive medicine for solution of the problems which were afterwards thoroughly analyzed by Professor G. Sukhich in his plenary lecture.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Congress, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Ministry of Health of the RF, academician of RAS L. Adamyan also greeted the participants of the Congress and wished them active participation in the Congress program.
884 participants from 22 countries, 166 cities and 66 regions of the Russian Federation were registered in the Congress.

Under the chairmanship of academicians of RAS L. Adamyan,V. Krasnopolsky, G. Savelieva, V. Serov, A. Strizhakov, G. Sukhikh, corr.-members of RAS L. Ashrafyan, A. Makatzaria, I. Sidorova, M. Kurtzer and of recognized leaders of national reproductive medicine, the chairs of departments of medical universities and prominent clinical centers of Russia 14 plenary sessions were held, focusing on the most acute and debatable issues of obstetrics and perinatology, reproductology, oncological pathology in women, surgical and alternative treatment of gynecological diseases, men’s reproductive health, endocrinology.
4 clinical schools, including early diagnosis of endometrial cancer under the guidance of Prof. M.Mintz; innovative technologies for early diagnosis of cervical cancer (Prof. S. Andersson); pediatric gynecology (Prof. E. Uvarova and Dr. E. Sibirskaya); prevention of preterm labor (Prof. B. Arabin were attended by 150-200 participants each and were highly appreciated.
The meeting of head specialists in obstetrics and gynecology of RF with discussion of the organizational aspects of health care was held in the frames of the Congress.
The Congress was featured with the final contest of the Students’ Scientific Circle Yana Aznaurova, the resident doctor of the 1st year became the winner of the contest.
Direct surgery transmissions from operating theater of the Center and robotic surgery broadcasts from miVIP Surgical Centers of the USA were held during the congress.
The specialized exhibition of the latest developments of the leading Russian and foreign manufacturers of medical preparations and equipment was open during the 4 days of Congress.
